Entry to the docks is prohibited,
because it is well known that all photographers
are in the pay of foreign
governments.
Photographs
are therefore taken from the opposite bank of the Firth at a distance of just over a mile.
This makes it hard,
particularly for the West Pier, to distinguish the light structure
from the hosts of other small masts in the vicinity
